Being able to describe a person is important but just to say he is ‘nice’ or ‘good’ is very generous and simple. - able – a person who is able, can mean he is competent or capable of doing things.
- accepting – a person who is ‘accepting’ is a person who not just only tolerates others but welcomes them and is inclusive of them. “I moved to a new town and the people were very accepting and befriended me quickly.”

- amiable – A pleasant and friendly person, sometimes used in a context of a person being friendly even though they might have the right to be angry e.g. ‘Despite the problems he was amiable to the staff.’
- amusing – Someone who can be fun and entertaining, sometimes in a witty way. However sometimes the person could be a bit silly too, so in that context it wouldn’t be positive, but a source of laughter due to their silliness.
