What Does Bisect Mean?

To bisect something means to cut or divide it into two equal parts. In geometry, we often bisect angles or line segments. The two resulting parts must be exactly equal.

What Is an Angle Bisector?

An angle bisector is a line that divides an angle into two equal angles. For example, if a 60° angle is bisected, it becomes two 30° angles. Angle bisectors are commonly used in geometric constructions.
