John and his sister Emma visited their grandparents' farm last weekend. They were very excited because they loved the farm animals. They woke up early on Saturday morning and packed a bag with their clothes and some snacks.

At 8:00 AM, their parents drove them to the farm. When they arrived, their grandparents were waiting for them. Grandpa was wearing a big hat, and Grandma had a basket full of fresh vegetables. John and Emma gave their grandparents a big hug.

First, they went to see the cows. The cows were eating grass in the field. Grandpa showed John how to milk a cow. John was a little scared at first, but Grandpa helped him. Emma laughed when she saw John milking the cow. They also fed the cows some hay.

Next, they visited the chicken coop. There were many chickens inside. Emma liked the chickens because they made funny noises. Grandma showed them how to collect eggs. Emma was very careful and didn't break any eggs. John counted the eggs and put them in a basket.

After that, they went to the barn to see the horses. John loved the horses because they were big and strong. Grandpa let John and Emma ride a horse. The horse's name was Star. Emma was a little nervous, but she enjoyed the ride. John said it was the best part of the day.

At noon, they had lunch under a big tree. Grandma made chicken sandwiches and apple pie. They also had lemonade. John and Emma ate their lunch quickly because they wanted to play more.

In the afternoon, they helped their grandparents in the garden. They planted some seeds and watered the plants. Grandma told them the names of the different vegetables. John liked the carrots, and Emma liked the tomatoes.

Finally, they played with the sheep and the goats. The sheep were very soft, and the goats were playful. Emma liked the baby goats the most. They ran around and made Emma laugh.

At 5:00 PM, it was time to go home. John and Emma thanked their grandparents for a wonderful day. They promised to come back soon. On the way home, they talked about their favorite parts of the visit. John liked milking the cow, and Emma loved riding the horse.
