Sophie and her family went to the beach last Sunday. They woke up early in the morning. The sky was clear, and the sun was shining brightly. Sophie was very happy because she loved the beach. They packed a big bag with towels, sunscreen, and swimsuits.

At 9:00 AM, they arrived at the beach. The beach was not very crowded. Sophie ran to the water. The water was cool and refreshing. She played in the waves with her little brother, Max. Max was only five years old, but he was very brave. He loved jumping over the small waves.

After playing in the water, Sophie and Max built a sandcastle. They used buckets and shovels to make a big castle with tall towers. Sophie decorated the castle with seashells she found on the beach. Max put a little flag on top of the castle. They were very proud of their sandcastle.

At noon, Sophie's mom called them for lunch. They sat on a big blanket under a colorful umbrella. Sophie's mom made sandwiches with cheese and ham. They also had apples, chips, and juice. Sophie enjoyed her sandwich while looking at the sea.

In the afternoon, Sophie and Max went for a walk along the beach. They collected more seashells and looked for crabs. Sophie found a big, red crab. Max was a little scared, but he liked watching the crab walk sideways. They also saw some small fish swimming near the rocks.

Later, they played a game of beach volleyball with their parents. Sophie's dad was very good at volleyball. He taught Sophie and Max how to hit the ball. They had a lot of fun playing together.

At 5:00 PM, it was time to go home. Sophie felt a bit sad because the day was over, but she was also happy because they had a wonderful time. They packed their things and left the beach. On the way home, Sophie said, "I can't wait to come back to the beach!" Her family agreed.
