Maria and her friend Tom went to the zoo last Saturday. They were very excited. The weather was sunny and warm. Maria brought her camera to take pictures of the animals. Tom brought some snacks to eat. They arrived at the zoo at 10:00 AM.

First, they went to see the elephants. The elephants were very big and gray. One elephant was playing with a ball. Maria took a picture of it. Tom gave a piece of apple to the elephant. The elephant ate the apple with its long trunk.

Next, they visited the monkey house. The monkeys were very funny. They jumped from tree to tree. One monkey had a banana. It peeled the banana and ate it quickly. Maria and Tom laughed a lot.

After that, they walked to the bird area. There were many colorful birds. Maria liked the parrots the most. The parrots could talk! One parrot said, "Hello!" to Maria. Tom liked the peacocks. The peacocks had beautiful feathers. Tom took a picture of a peacock with its feathers open.

Then, Maria and Tom were hungry. They found a picnic area and ate their snacks. Maria had a sandwich and an orange. Tom had some cookies and a banana. They drank water and rested for a while.

After eating, they went to see the lions. The lions were sleeping. Maria and Tom were very quiet because they did not want to wake up the lions. One lion opened its eyes, looked at them, and then went back to sleep.

Finally, they visited the aquarium. There were many fish. Maria liked the colorful fish. Tom liked the big sharks. They watched the fish swim for a long time.

At 4:00 PM, it was time to go home. Maria and Tom were tired but happy. They had a great day at the zoo. Maria said, "Let's come back again soon!" Tom agreed.
