A Trip to the Park

Amy and her friend Ben went to the park last Saturday. They were excited because it was a sunny day. Amy packed a picnic basket with sandwiches, fruit, and juice. Ben brought his soccer ball because he wanted to play.

They arrived at the park at 10:00 AM. The park was big and green with many trees and flowers. Amy and Ben found a nice spot under a tree and laid down a blanket. They ate their sandwiches and drank juice. Ben kicked the soccer ball around while Amy read a book.

After lunch, they went to the playground. There were slides, swings, and a jungle gym. Ben climbed to the top of the jungle gym and shouted, "Look, Amy!" Amy cheered for him. They both went down the slide and swung on the swings.

Next, they walked around the park. They saw ducks swimming in the pond and fed them some bread crumbs. Amy took pictures of the ducks with her phone. They also saw squirrels running around and chasing each other up the trees.

In the afternoon, they rested on a bench and talked. Ben told Amy about his soccer team, and Amy shared stories from her summer vacation. They laughed a lot and enjoyed the warm breeze.

At 4:00 PM, it was time to go home. Amy and Ben gathered their things and walked back to the parking lot. They were tired but happy after a fun day at the park.
